About 18 months ago, Craig and I started going to SPENGA in Gahanna. 

It’s a funky little gym situation where you do 20 minutes of SPIN, 20 minutes of strength training, and 20 minutes of yoga. He has continued the journey, and it truly shows; but I had to take a break for knee surgery. In June of this year, I went back. I was 228 pounds and as out of shape as I’ve ever been. Today, I am 194. I still have a little weight to lose, but I’m happy with my pace.  Clothes fit differently… even at 50, my body is changing for the better. 

The concept works. 

Along with it, there is a family at this gym. A group of people who stand by each other through everything. We motivate each other, hold accountable, and cheer one another on. The instructors are all knowledgeable and fun. They help us adjust exercises to what will work best for us, working around injuries and weaknesses. 

They all truly care about our success there. 

We are going to keep pushing. We are going to keep getting healthier. It helps to know that SPENGA will be there to help us stick around a little longer.
